Great Divide CD Release Concert Ken Bevis July 28, 2019 – 7 pm - Merc Playhouse, Twisp WA
Nature troubadour, Ken Bevis, will perform a full concert of original songs inspired by nature and stories of life. He writes catchy folk tunes with memorable melodies that make the listener think, and enjoy.
The program will feature shifting combinations of talented musicians. The new disc will be available for the first time at the show, as well as Ken’s 2016 release, Wanderer’s Moon.
Bevis works as a wildlife biologist, and writes and plays everyday. He has been songwriting for over 40 years, and since moving the Methow Valley in 2008, where he has blossomed in our rich musical community.
Ken produced his 2 CDs working with Chris “Breathe” Frue in a recording studio in a cabin deep in the mountains, starting in 2015. Each song was crafted into a final version, then other voices and instruments were added one at a time, and carefully layered into the composition. Each musician interpreted each song in their own original way. This makes the musical collaboration unique, amazing and beautiful.
Ken was recently featured in the Wenatchee World newpaper. Read the article here.
He was also interviewed by Dan Maher of NW Public Radio on May 11, 2019. Check the archived interview here.
The collection is enjoyable, and the concert will be a one of kind, never to be repeated event. Hope you can make it.
